Hammerfall Bunkers are dropped from orbit to provide a beachhead, secure a landing zone, provide area defence, or to simply wreak havoc behind enemy lines. Crewed by hard-wired [[Servitorservitor]]s with area denial programming{{Fn|2}}, their main weapon is a [[Hammerfall Missile Launcher]]. Meanwhile , the bunker's side guns can be either [[heavy bolter]]s or [[heavy flamer]]s.{{Fn|1}}  Note the above definition: a Hammerfall Bunker is not a bunker, which is defined as a reinforced underground shelter, typically for use in wartime. Hammerfall Bunkers do not provide shelter of any kind, nor are they designed to.
