[[image:AltanasarHead.png|right|300px|thumb|Aeldari of Craftworld '''{{PAGENAME}}'''{{Fn|6}}]] '''Altansar''' is an [[Eldar]] [[Craftworld]] that was caught in the [[Eye of Terror]], safed after the great odyssey of the only escapee being [[Phoenix Lord]] [[Maugan Ra]]{{Fn|6}}, thought for many years to be the Craftworld's only survivor.{{Fn|2a}}.  ==Overview==The Eldar of Altnassar are paler, quieter, and appear almost deathly to their [[Asuryani]] brethren, who regard them with distrust and spread rumors of theiir ordeal in the Eye of Terror: that they were tainted irrevocably by the Eye itself or perhaps by a dread pact with [[Ynnead]].{{Fn|6}} The truth of their time imperiled known only to [[Maugan Ra]] and the Eldar of the doomed craftworld themselves. {{Fn|6}} Its symbol was a Broken Chain, referencing the escape of [[Kurnous]] and [[Isha]] from the dungeons of [[Khaine]] but also the shattering of the links that bound [[Vaul]] to his anvil.{{Fn|2a}} It has since returned but is now held in great suspicion by other Eldar, for how could any Eldar remain untouched by the predations of Chaos for so many millennia?
