*In [[Codex: Chaos Space Marines (4th Edition)]], the Deathmongers are shown wearing the same green-grey and black colour scheme as the [[Warp Ghosts]], a Chaos Space Marine warband introduced in [[Codex: Chaos Space Marines (3rd Edition, 2nd Codex)]].{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|3}} However, in [[Codex: Chaos Space Marines (8th Edition)]], they are instead shown wearing pure grey armour with copper trim.{{Fn|4}} In [[Imperial Armour Volume Thirteen - War Machines of the Lost and the Damned]], this confusion was explained as being canonical, with the Warp Ghosts being often confused for other warbands including the Deathmongers.{{Fn|6}}
