After the Heresy, Ignis joined Ahriman's [[Prodigal Sons]]. He later became a double agent for Ahriman in entrapping [[Sanakht]] as the warrior attempted to betray them.{{Fn|2}} Ignis remained at Ahriman's side as they cast the Second [[Rubric of Ahriman|Rubric]]{{Fn|5}}, inadvertently creating an even more devastating condition known as the [[Pyrodomon]].{{Fn|6a}} As Ahriman accesses the [[Necron]] time-manipulating device known as the [[Key of Infinity]], Ignis and [[Ctesias]] are able to discover the source of the Pyrodomon to be the former [[Rubric Marine]] [[Helio Isidorus]].{{Fn|6b}} In the ensuing struggle, Ignis succumbs to the Pyrodomon and is transformed into a Rubricae.{{Fn|6c}}
Ahriman uses the Key of Infinity to travel into the past to stop the Pyrodomon, resetting the timeline to just days after the casting of the Second Rubric.{{Fn|7a}} However even in this new order He is alongside Ahriman's side once more as they flee the [[Planet of events, Ignis remains trapped as a Rubricaethe Sorcerers]] once more.{{Fn|7b}}
