== History ==
Tantalid was well-known for his heavy, red and gold [[power armour]] and the [[chainsword]] ''Theophantus'', and was known on occasion to make use of a concealment field to become invisible. He had an extreme hatred of [[psyker]]s, possibly placing him in-line with [[Thorian]] or [[Monodominant]] mindsets, which was the basis for his hatred of Eisenhorn, made more extreme by Eisenhorn's determination to use psykers in his staff and to advance his own psychic abilities.
They met on [[Bradell's World]], where they argued in a court over the right to try a [[heretic]], an argument which Tantalid won. Later, on [[Kuuma]], the two fought over "virgin" psychic slaves, whom Eisenhorn wanted to send in the [[Black Ships]], but Tantalid wanted to slay; Eisenhorn won this round. Still later, on [[Lethe Eleven]], Tantalid slew the [[heretic]] [[Beldame Sadia]] and nearly killed Eisenhorn.
Finally, in the city of [[Ezropolis]] on [[Orbul Infanta]], Tantalid he killed the [[astropath]] [[Taesera Ungish]] before being killed by Eisenhorn in an Ecclesiarchy chapelthe '''Cathedral of Saint Ezra Outlooking'''.{{Fn|12a}}
