Chapter Masters of the [[Adeptus Astartes]] are often referred to as Chapter Commanders. The overall leader of a specific crusade or battle action can be referred to as the Force Commander (whatever his actual rank is).
Space Marines have a choice of two commanders, [[Space Marine Chapter Master|Master]]s or [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]]s. There was also the rank of Force Commander in 3rd edition, higher than both Captain and Master<sup>2</sup>, however this has since been removed from use with the release of the 4th edition Space Marine codex.
