Sekhetar Robots are towering , psychically controlled battle automata that serve the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion.1
Description
Sekhetar are a development of the Castellax-Achea Battle Automata the Thousand Sons used during the Great Crusade. After the Horus Heresy, a group of Sorcerers came up with the design for the Sekhetar – crafting them in the image of ancient Prosperine spirits.3 Sekhetar bear features of ancient thousand sons Tutelaries and are saturated in sorcerous power with runes of misdirection and illusion. Critically they are threaded with spells of prophecy allowing them to foresee attacks and better protect their masters as bodyguards.1 Despite their impressive size, Sekhetar are made for stealth and complex magical shrouds woven into their bodies to hide their true nature from all but the most advanced of augurs.3 So heavily corrupted by the Warp are these robots after millennia of service that there is a great risk that they may have become possessed by Daemons. Few Thousand Sons would willingly rely on such creatures to act as their personal guardians, so they often are interwoven with additional wards and conduct regularly purges of their mnemo-wafers and obedience protocols to prevent such a possession from taking place.4
