The '''Scutum-Pattern Bunker''' is a [[Departmento Munitorum]] standard throughout the [[Spinward Front]], but the Scutum’s basic design allows for modifications by [[Tech-Priest]] [[Enginseers ]] when warranted. Over four metres high, seven across, and six deep, with 50 centimetre-thick [[plascrete ]] walls, the Scutum makes a formidable defence for a squad of troops. A ladder within the bunker provides access to the roof, where the wall of the bunker provides cover for gunners manning the two pintle-mounted weapons either [[Heavy Bolter]] or [[Autocannon]]. Most bunkers are equipped with [[vox ]] and [[auspex ]] systems.{{Fn|1}}
