At the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, Noriz was one of the Imperial Fists assigned to patrol the [[Sol System]] as part of the [[Primarch]] [[Rogal Dorn|Rogal Dorn's]] new security protocols. In the aftermath of the [[Dropsite Massacre]], the [[Raven Guard]] Primarch [[Corvus Corax]] travelled from the [[Isstvan System]] to [[Terra]] to seek an audience with the [[Emperor of Mankind|Emperor]]. When he arrived in the Sol System, Noriz had the ''Wrathful Vanguard'' intercept their [[Battle Barge]], the ''[[Avenger (Battle Barge)|Avenger]]''.
