The '''Farsight Enclaves''', known as the '''Forbidden Zone''' to the [[Tau T'au Empire]],{{Fn|7}} is an independent [[TauT'au]] entity existing on the [[Eastern Fringe]] of the [[Imperium]]. Established and ruled by [[Commander Farsight]], it has broken away from the [[Tau T'au Empire]]{{Fn|2a}} and refuses any presence of [[Ethereal]]s within its borders.{{Fn|5}}

The Enclaves include [[Tau]] from all castes save Ethereals as well as [[Kroot]], [[Human]]s, and other TauT'au-affiliated species. Despite the break with the Ethereals, the Enclaves still venerates venerate the ideals of the [[Greater Good]].{{Fn|9a}}
