→I got a question answered in writing directly from an author: new section
:In order to move articles to a new name you first have to prove that the requested name is actually the current one. That you do by including the new name complete with appropriate citations in the article. Only once that has been done can a move to a new name be considered.

== I got a question answered in writing directly from an author ==
Hello, I'm the person who wanted to add references to the Wombles in the article on the [[Reclaimers]]. I also forgot to put my signature on the discussion page. You dutifully explained that I could acknowledge in the article that the chapter is meant as an old pop culture reference, but would have to couch it as a possibility rather than presenting it as fact in the absence of authorial confirmation. However, amazingly, before you had sent that reply, a shot-in-the-dark message sent to Alex Stewart was responded to almost immediately with an express confirmation and even some more context and details surrounding the Womble Marines. It turns out he is incredibly prompt and forthright to unsolicited questions about his work, a trait that I don't intend to abuse. I made it clear I was asking him to get it on-the-record so I could add it to the Lexicanum with confidence, so there's no presumption of privacy in the conversation there. However, now that I have it, I don't actually know how to actually cite this response on the wiki. Uploading a screencap of the conversation doesn't seem professional, per se, and would be trivial to forge, but I'm not sure what the superior alternative would be. I don't see reference to Word-of-God in this context as being valid nor invalid in [[Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum:Accepted sources]], so I'm at a bit of a loss for what the right thing to do is.
