Sahtah the Enfleshed is described as a considerably larger version of a standard flayed one. Sergeant Scipio describes him as, "It was massive, a hulking monster of a necron. Judging by its size and strength behind its blades, Scipio reasoned it probably weighed more than him and Largo combined"[pg199-200].

During his introduction in chapter 5 of the Fall Of Damnos, Sahtah is described as a necron lord cursed by the flayer virus before the great sleep. His first concerns upon awakening are of the state of his "robes". These "robes" are in fact seemingly the decaying remnants of his previous human prey. This is however quite odd considering that the should be his first time being awoken in at least 60 million years, when the species, Homo Sapien, would not yet exist in the galaxy. [Pg 93-94]
