==Overview==
Power Hammer hammer utilize the same disruption field technology used in [[Power Swords]], much like [[Thunder Hammer]]s. Power Hammers hammers are formidable melee weapon due in part to their size and disruption field, imparting tremendous power on anything they are brought to bear on, from [[magna]]-rivets to human bodies. Few foes can survive a direct hit from a power hammer, for even if the energy field doesn't kill them, the weight of the weapon probably will.{{Fn|5}}
This brutal melee potency makes power hammers a popular weapon to certain kinds of [[ganger]]sin [[hive cities]], such as [[House Goliath]] on [[Necromunda]].{{Fn|5}}
However, it can also be utilized as a weapon, most notably by [[Genestealer Cult]]s. [[Aberrant]]s use heavy power hammers on those they can catch, each swing crushing torsos and breaking spines in a burst of disruptive energy.{{Fn|1}} [[Abominant]]s wield an even larger and heavier version called a power sledgehammer{{Fn|2b}}, while [[atalan jackal]]s wield the lightest version, referred to simply as a power hammer.{{Fn|2a}}
