In late [[M41]], his [[Stealthsuit Team|Team]] team was part of [[Tau Commander|Commander]] [[Braun'wa]]'s forces{{Fn|1b}} that were sent by the [[T'au Empire]] to "condition" one of the [[Vespid]]'s leadership class strains, while it was in a pupa state. However , before the Commander reached its isolated [[Hive]]hive, the pupa was attacked{{Fn|1a}} by the [[Shadow Hawks]] [[Chapter]]{{Fn|1c}} as it was being escorted outside{{Fn|1a}} by the [[Mal'aav]] and [[Mal'bas]],{{Fn|1c}} [[Royal Bodyguard Stingwing]]s.{{Fn|1b}}. Led by [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] [[Urotriorchis]],{{Fn|1c}} the [[Space Marines]] had been charged by the [[Ordo Xenos]] with capturing the Vespid leadership pupa, so that the Ordo could study and experiment on it. Thanks to [[Imperial intelligence]],{{Fn|1a}} the Shadow Hawks were aware that Braun'wa was on his way to the Hive and they attempted to complete their mission before the arrival of the Commander.{{Fn|1c}} However , Braun'wa and his forces of Crep'hal's [[Stealthsuit Team]] and two [[Crisis Battlesuit Team]]s, led by [[Shas'ui]] [[Aye'hal]] and Shas'ui [[Bork'hal]],{{Fn|1b}} reached the Hive hive before the Space Marines were able to take the pupa from the Royal Stingwings.{{Fn|1c}} Time was now of the essence for both sides, as Braun'wa had to stop the Shadow Hawks before they could escape with the pupa, while the Space Marines had to complete their mission before the T'au Empire could send a larger force against them.{{Fn|1d}}  Unfortunately for the [[Tau Commander|Commander]], his strike force entered the battle in a piecemeal fashion, instead of as a united front. By the time Crep'hal's [[Stealthsuit Team|Team]] arrived at the battle, [[Braun'wa]] and [[Bork'hal]]'s [[Crisis Battlesuit Team]] had been slain, while Team [[Aye'hal]] had not arrived yet. The only surviving member of the [[Mal’aav]] [[Vespid Stingwing]] had fled from the fighting as well. As they began fighting the Shadow Hawks, Crep'hal's Team was able to destroy the [[Rhino]] of [[Tactical Squad]] '''Butastur'''{{Fn|1c}} and kill one member of the Tactical Squad. The Steathsuit Team were slain though, when two of its members were shot down by the [[Castraferrum Dreadnought]] [[Buteogallus]] and the last member of Team Crep'hal was struck down by Squad Butastur shortly afterwards. While most of Braun'wa's forces were killed in the battle, their intervention kept the Shadow Hawks at bay long enough, that the Space Marines had no choice but to retreat without the pupa.{{Fn|1d}}
