'''Ashwing Helamites''' are flying macro-insects that are found in [[Necromunda (planet)|Necromunda]]'s [[Ash Wastes (Necromunda)|Ash Wastes]] and they . They are the smaller, less docile relatives of [[Dustback Helamite]]s.{{Fn|1}}  

Like the [[Dustback Helamite|Dustback]], the Ashwings are used against the enemies of the [[Ash Waste Nomads]] and also act as guards for the Nomads' claims and camps. When unleashed by their handlers, through the use of a thrown device called a [[Ashwing Lure]], the Ashwings will swarm the Nomads' foes and attack with their toxic mandibles. Their bites pack a deadly punch and no amount of determent will ward the Ashwings away from their targets.{{Fn|1}}
