History
Mannheim was obliged by his oath of loyalty to the Emperor to follow an insane order of the corrupted heretic Herman von Strab, Overlord of Armageddon. Von Strab commanded Legio Metallica to stem the onrushing Ork tide, even though the Imperial forces would be outnumbered by more than three to one. Knowing it would be his final mission,3 Mannheim dressed in his best uniform, said goodbye to his wife and childrenCite this and climbed aboard his Warlord Class Titan, Steel Hammer, with pride.13
With his Titan critically damaged after destroying three Ork Gargants in combat, Mannheim steered Steel Hammer to the center of the Ork horde and overloaded its plasma reactors, causing a major meltdown and massive explosion. With this action, he took a million Orks with him to the grave.1 The rest of the Titan Legion was almost completely destroyed by the Orks and took no further part in the campaign.3
This character has been referred to as both Kurtiz Mannehim2 and Kurt Mannheim.123
