Pylon Ships are enormous Necron warships.1a
Diamond-shaped, as big as a Space Station, and covered in Noctilith, Pylon Ships are capable of phasing in and out of reality without using the Warp.It contained Pylons s which it dropped onto targeted world, expanding the Pariah Nexus.1a Though equipped with formidable Particle Weaponry that can rip apart even the largest Imperial Navy vessels, its most formidable weapon was a "contra-empyric beam" generator that could shut down the Void Shields across entire enemy fleets and render much of the crew inside comatose.1b
Fortunately for the Imperium, only a single known Pylon Ship has thus far been encountered. It was first seen in the Nephilim Sector, where it led the initial Necron invasion under the command of the Silent King.1a This ship was later encountered at Paradyce II during the early Pariah Crusade and decimated swathes of Fleet Tertius including claiming its flagship Precept Magnificat and killing its Fleetmaster, Cassandra VanLeskus. It was only destroyed after Groupmaster Eloise Athagey rammed her own command ship, the Overlord Class Battlecruiser Saint Aster, into the vessel.1b
