Colaron Bannick was the son of the Chief Auditor of [[Clan Bannick]], one of the [[Noble House|Clan Families]] of the [[sixth moon of Paragon VI]]. In '''395.[[M41]]''', he was betrothed to [[Kaithalar Beyn Lo Turannigen]] as part of an arranged marriage to tie his clan with [[Clan Turannigen]]. However, after Colaron killed his cousin [[Tuparillio]] in a duel, he joined the Guard to save his family disgrace (although his father still disowned him).{{Fn|1c}}{{Fn|1e}}
===Kalidar===
He was part of the Guard's forces sent to fight the [[Ork]]s of [[Waaagh! Gratzdakka]], which had [[Kalidar War|invaded]] the [[Kalidar System]]. He was assigned to the 3rd Company of the [[42nd Paragon Tank Regiment]].{{Fn|1a}}
Initially [[Tank Commander|commanding]] the [[Leman Russ Battle Tank]] ''[[Indomitable Fury]]'', his tank was destroyed on [[Kalidar IV]] in battle with Ork forces on the [[Kostoval Flats]] but in the process held off the greenskin forces long enough for Guard forces to withdraw. During ===Geratomro===Bannick and his crew were next deployed along with the ensuing battles on Kalidar IV, ''Mars Triumphant[[Cortein's Honour]]' ' to the world of [[Geratomro]], which had risen in rebellion to the Imperium over the issue of the [[Tithe]]. During a chaotic landing Bannick was destroyed but only forced to take command after taking their commanding officer [[Kandar Vor Ostrakhan Lo Hannick]] was injured.{{Fn|2a}} The Imperial forces quickly overran the capital of [[Matua Superior]] then conducted a brutal public execution of the rebel leaders.{{Fn|2b}} After a brawl with rival [[Atraxian]] soldiers at a bar, Bannick and his crew faced punishment but thanks to the sacrifice of his loader [[GargantGollph]] , only he is flogged.{{Fn|2c}} In further battles with the Geratomran rebels, the ''Cortein's Honour'' spearheaded the assault on Yellow Guard Ridge, where ittook out a [[Destroyer Tank Hunter]]. For {{Fn|2d}} By thispoint, full-scale [[Chaos]] invasion had erupted across Geratomro thanks to the machinations of the [[Daemonic Herald]] [[Dib]]. The ''Cortein's Honour'' was then ambushed by [[Emperor's Children]] [[Chaos Space Marine]] [[Predator]]s. Amid the chaos, he the ''Cortein's Honour'' was badly damaged and Bannick and his crew were assigned to the [[Shadowsword]] ''[[Lux Imperator]]''.{{Fn|2e}} In a battle against [[Chaos Titan]]s, the ''Lux Imperator'' was promoted severely damaged by managed to delivered the decisive blow to a [[Chaos Warlord Titan]].{{Fn|2f}} Shortly after crippling the Titan, Bannick and given command his crew were badly wounded after the ''Lux Imperator'' was hit by Emperor's Children. The sudden arrival of a new Baneblade[[Black Templars]] forces saved his crew.{{Fn|2g}} Led by the [[Space Marine]]s, Bannick and the ''Lux Imperator'' fight through the [[CorteinDaemon]]-infested streets of Geratomro. Thanks to the sacrifice of the [[Emperor's HonourChampion]] [[Bastoigne]], the [[Warp Rift]]the Chaos forces used to invade Geratomro was weakened enough to allow for the ''Lux Imperator''to destroy it.{{Fn|2h}} In the aftermath of the battle, Bannick and his crew faced possible purges from the [[Commissariat]] for their exposure to Chaos. The revelation caused his driver [[Karlok Shoam]] to kill the Commissar while Bannick was forced to execute [[Lieutenant]] [[Epperaliant]] when he refused to lie about what had transpired.
