Her planning soon paid off, for she was able to quickly defeat a [[Chaos]] fleet which threatened the [[Sol System]]. Embarking on the Indomitus Crusade with five of Fleet Tertius' Battlegroups, she led assaults into the [[System]]s of the [[Machorta Sound]], absorbing stranded and beleaguered assets as she advanced. In the [[Battle of Machorta Sound]] she waged an extensive campaign across several light years against the forces of [[Chaos]]. During this first blooding of the Indomitus Crusade, she conducted intricate and simultaneous operations with a wide variety of forces at her disposal and scored an early decisive victory.{{Fn|2}}
During the [[Pariah Crusade]], VanLeskus led elements of Fleet Tertius at [[Paradyce II]] against a massive [[Necron]] fleet. Faced with a hopeless situation, her flagship [[Precept Magnificat]] was destroyedby a [[Pylon Ship]]. Fleet Tertius then regrouped under [[Groupmaster]] [[Athagey]].{{Fn|3a}} In the aftermath of her death, [[White Consuls]] Captain [[Messinius]] was made the new Fleetmaster of Tertius.{{Fn|3b}}
