The '''Dracosan Armoured Transport''' was an armoured personnel carrier used by the [[Imperial Army]] during the [[Great Crusade]] and [[Horus Heresy]],{{Fn|1}} employed almost exclusively by forces following the [[Solar Auxilia]] order of battle or similar formations, like the household troops of certain [[Rogue Trader|Rogue Trader Militants]] or the elite retainers of high status [[Imperial Commander]]s.{{Fn|12b}}

The Dracosan Armoured Transport was manufactured on several dozen [[forge world]]s across the [[imperium]] to standards only usually required of war machines destined for service with the [[Legiones Astartes]]. It was large enough to accommodate twenty troops, and heavily armoured enough to protect them from intense enemy fire. Its protection was greater than the ubiquitous [[Rhino]].{{Fn|22b}}
