*The ''Hunting Hawk'' was created by the [[Games Workshop]] employee [[Warwick Kinrade]] and he it appeared in [[The Citadel Journal 30]].{{Fn|1}}
*Kinrade based the Hunting Hawk off a picture of a [[Space Wolf]] with a hawk and [[Fenrisian Wolf]] in the [[Chapter]]'s current codex. As [[The Citadel Journal 30]] was released in 1999,{{Fn|1}} he would be referring to the [[Codex: Space Wolves (2nd Edition)]], which came out in 1994. The picture in question can be found on page 4 of the codex.{{Fn|2}}
