In the northeast corner of the galaxy exists an old Necron kingdom known as the [[Drazak|Bone Kingdom of Drazak]], which is a haunt for Flayed Ones; every Necron save its ruler, [[Valgûl]] the Fallen Lord, is a Flayed One. Whenever the kingdom suffers from "food shortage", Valgûl issues a time of bounty, sending his people out in search for more.{{Fn|1b}} The [[Maynarkh Dynasty]] is also known to suffer from the Flayer Curse, though many have still managed to retain their sense.{{Fn|3}} The Flayer Virus can also infect [[Canoptek Spyder]]s{{Fn|7a}} and [[False Necron]]s.{{Fn|7b}}
Flayed Ones can be lured to a target via [[Bloodswarm Nanoscarabs]].{{Fn|5b}} [[Necron Lord]]s and [[Necron Overlord|Overlords]] who succumb to the Flayer Virus but retain some semblance of their own old personality are known as [[Flayer King]]s.{{Fn|11}}
