Steeljack are Leagues of Votann Ironkin, whose large heavy-duty bodies are designed to carry heavy weaponscreated for war.1
Description
Blessed with innate martial talents in their Cerebral Units by the Votann Ancestor Cores and installed in a combat-purposed body, Steeljacks are able to shrug off attacks that would lay even a Thunderkyn low. Their mechanical forms sport an enlarged skeletal structure of hardened alloys, complex fibreweave musculature, reinforced servo-redundances, and enhanced adaptive logic centers.3 Steeljacks are well aware of their innate combat prowess and train constantly to best utilize their skillset, engaging in holographic simulations and studying tactical treatises in their spare time. While intimidating to behold, the rest of Kin society (both organic and mechanical) view them with affection and pride.2 Indeed, most Kin are simply grateful when new Ironkin are produced by their Holds forge, something that is only made possible at the whim of their Ancestor Cores.3 Their innate talents and construction makes Steeljacks excellent shock troops and they are able to smash aside defensive lines and run as swiftly as any mortal warrior, despite the weight of their heavy, void-sealed armour.2 This allows them to anchor entire battlelines and Steeljacks become even more effective while being directed by Memnyr Strategists Ironkin.1 While the Steeljacks are inclined towards war, it is not always their sole focus. Steeljack Theyns tend to spend their entire existence immersed in battle or preparing it, but others occasionally put their immense frames and strength towards industrial and civilian roles.3
In battle, Steeljacks are armed with a mix of Autoch Bolt Pistols, Plasma Blades, Concussion Gauntlets, and Heavy Volkanite Disintegrators. They also can carry support wargear such as a Preymark Crest.1
