'''Van Dremen''' is an [[Inquisitor]], who had a chance meeting with [[Cardinal]] [[Gotterich Valon]] on the [[Imperial]] world [[Sanagua Primar]], in late [[M41]]. The two would soon become friends and Valon would subsequently relinquish his [[Ecclesiarchal]] duties, in order to aid in Dremen's investigations. Under his tutelage, Valon would eventually become Dremen's [[Interrogator]] , and in time, the formal Cardinal became an Inquisitor of the [[Ordo Malleus]].{{Fn|1}}
