Sometime after the formation of the [[Great Rift]] 2/3rds of the 6th Brotherhood was lost in the [[Belladonyk]] Purges and the secret wars of the [[Ivox Deeps]]. With Brother-Captain [[Kerda Tannasek]] dead, Grand Master Caddon Varn was forced to pull the brotherhood back to [[Titan (Moon)|Titan]] lest it be destroyed. He then declared that the Brotherhood would defend the Citadel and respond to Warp threats within the Sol System as they seek to rebuild.{{Fn|3}}
