Volley Guns are primarily borne into battle by [[Tempestus Scions]] to deal with armored enemy infantry. They fire with a distinctive spitting howl,{{Fn|1b}} producing las-fire in the sixty megathule range.{{Fn|2b}} Thanks to its capacitor, a hot-shot volley gun can fire nearly 300 shots without recharging.{{Fn|3}} The las-fire is hot enough to convert energy into kinetic force by creating molecular explosions. A Volley Gun easily overpenetrates a person, blowing out the ribcage in the process.{{Fn|2a}}
