The Flame Falcons were a Space Marine Chapter created during the 21st 'Cursed' Founding. Little is known about them, except that they were declared Excommunicate Traitoris within a century of their creation. It is said during a campaign, they were hard-pressed and on the losing side of a battle. Suddenly, members of the First Company began to immolate, however it did not harm them, only their foes. They belived this to be a gift from the Emperor, causing them to fight with renewed vigor.
The Chapter's commander, fearing Mutation, ordered a hearing with an Inquisitor about the well-being of his chapter. Soon, all of the Flame Falcons began to immolate, as they began a celebration on their homeworld after the victorious campaign. The Inquisitor had noticed this change, and sent the Grey Knights to destroy the mutant marines. It is not known how many marines survived, but there have been sightings of immolated marines on more then one imperial battlefield...
