The '''Akunavash''' is one of the [[T'au Empire]]'s most notorious [[Commerce Protection Fleet]], which is led by the [[Gue'vesa Commander]] [[Memet Poralius]].{{Fn|1}}
Its name comes from a crude title, used by one of the [[T'au Empire]]'s less eloquent races. Many of these [[Xenos]] serve in the Akunavash Fleet, alongside [[Gue'vesa]] that have been exiled from the [[Imperium]]. This includes their [[Gue'vesa Commander|Commander]] [[Memet Poralius|Poralius]], who was once the [[Planetary Governor]] of [[Moracre]], until his secret trade alliance with the T'au was discovered. Once the [[Imperium]] learned of his betrayal, Moracre was attacked by [[Battlefleet Artemis]]. Though Poralius escaped to the T'au Empire, his [[Homeworld]] was lost to him and the Commander has sought vengeance ever since. Poralius now frequently brings the Akunavash Fleet within the Imperium's borders and launches attacks on its population, at the slightest hint of danger.{{Fn|1}}
