It was part the [[Stygius Crusade]], which was assembled during the [[Thirteenth Black Crusade]] to save the [[Invasion of the Stygius Sector|invaded]] [[Imperium]] worlds of the [[Stygius Sector]] from the forces of [[Tzeentch]]. The Crusade ended in failure, though, and it is not known if any of House Mundast's [[Knight]]s were among the Crusade's forces that escaped before the Sector fell to the Chaos God.{{Fn|1}}
In [[M42]], House Mundast took part in the [[Indomitus Crusade]] as part [[Battle Group Irasmus (Fleet Primus)|Battle Group Irasmus]]. Alongside the rest of the Battle Group, House Mundast took part in defending the [[Pankallis Sub-sector]], from [[Orks]] and [[Tyranids]] during the [[Octarius War]]. During the fighting, Lances of Knights from Mundast and [[House Derthos ]] moved to reinforce the battered defenders of the Cogwall, rescuing surrounded forces and enabling a fighting retreat as the Ork's numbers were too great to oppose them.{{Fn|2}}
