With the Sorcerer dead, the squad's bolter rounds resume their trajectory and destroy the statue, which results in a beam of light shooting up from the ruins. This signal is seen from the Ultramarines' vessel in orbit, and used to deploy ordnance to the location to ensure nothing remains. With the mission objectives accomplished, the ship bids Metaurus and Titus to die well. Titus instead drags Metaurus to safety; Metaurus urges Titus that they've done their duty, but the Lieutenant is not in the mood to die just yet. Titus secures his helmet and prepares to battle more cultists bearing down on their position.{{fn|14}}

An unknown period of time after the mission of Zash’uj, Titus was promoted back into position of [[Space Marine Captain|captain]] of the Ultramarine’s 2nd Company. He was subsequently tasked with overseeing the defense of Macragge and Ultramar.{{Fn|18}}
