The [[Tau]], through the [[human]] [[Gue'vesa]] members of the [[Tau Empire]], are known to use Leman Russ tanks among their human auxiliaries. Examples include:
*[[1st Kleistian Grenadiers]] - Formerly the [[Kleist System]] produced [[PDF]] and military resources for the Imperium, now defected to be a [[Category:Tau Worlds| Tau System]] since the [[Third Sphere of Expansion]]. The 1st Kleistian Grenadiers are able to field and maintain [[Armoured Company|Armoured Companies]] of Leman Russ Tanks. These sometimes include a [[Hammerhead Gunship]] among their number.{{Fn|47}}
