History
History
The inception of the Fire Caste came after the end of the Mont'au, an apocalyptic war between different groups of T'au on their home planet. Following the sudden appearance of the Ethereal Caste, these new leaders fostered peace between the warring parties and shortly thereafter organised the T'au into four new castes that would dictate their roles in the T'au'va, the philosophy of the Ethereals. The T'au of the plains, naturally strong and aggressive hunters were chosen as the basis for the Fire Caste, who would become the protectors of the new empire. Of all the nascent castes that were created by the Ethereals, it was the Fire Caste that found this new organisation of things most challenging but as they observed the rest of T'au society setting about building the foundations of a great empire, they accepted their role in it and became valued equals under the Greater Good. The Caste based its new order on the Code Of Fire, an ancient philosophy passed down by generations of the plains-dwelling people.4a]]
