After [[Lord Commander]] [[Guilliman]] returned to the [[Imperium]], Gallifa spent nine years spreading word of the Primarch's rebirth. He then spent several more years serving as a rapid courier, when [[Astropath]]s failed to deliver a message. Gallifa's years of service in these roles, led him to develop a reputation of being a highly skilled [[Imperial Navy Captain|Captain]], who was not easily cowed and was among the best the [[Imperial Navy]] had to offer. He was also among the rare officers who was able to fully give his attention to a crew member, when they delivered a report.{{Fn|1b}}
It was these attributes, as well as the speed of the ''[[Light of Reason]]'' ship class, that led Gallifa to be chosen to deliver the [[Historitor]] [[Solana (Historitor)|Solana]] to the [[Scorean Singularity]] [[Black Hole]], where [[Magos Dominus|Archmagos Dominus]] [[Cawl]]'s fleet resided. Though the journey severely tested Gallifa, the [[Navigators]] of [[House Xing]] and the ''[[Light of Reason]]'''s crew, he successfully delivered Solana to Cawl's flagship, the ''[[Zar-Quaesitor]]''. After doing so, the [[Imperial Navy Captain|Captain]] quickly and eagerly began his next mission,{{Fn|1c}} as the Historitor was just one of the many highly important passengers that the Light of Reason carried aboard it.{{Fn|1b}}
