{{Codex Stub}}The '''Codex: Ultramarines''' was the first rule book dedicated entirely to [[Space Marine]]s, and, although its focus was on the [[Ultramarines]] [[chapter]] it was suitable for use with any ''codex'' Space Marine army. The format of the army in Codex: Ultramarines was later developed into the generic format found in the ensuing ''Codex: Space Marines'', as opposed to the army formats found in either of its contemporaries [[Codex: Angels of Death]] and [[Codex: Space Wolves (2nd Edition)|Codex: Space Wolves]].
