The '''Joran Retribution''' began near the end of the [[Damocles Crusade]], with the intention of saving nearly 100 outflanked [[Regiments]] of [[Astra Militarum]] from [[T’au]] forces.  The '''Retribution''' involved forces of the [[Ultramarines]] [[1st Company (Ultramarines)|1st Company]], [[3rd Company (Ultramarines)|3rd Company]], and [[10th Company (Ultramarines)|10th Company]] , as part of the [[Joran VI Retaliation Force]] While successful in rescuing millions of Astra Militarum troops, the Ultramarines companies involved in the Retribution suffered high losses, especially the 3rd Company, which formed the majority of the Space Marine force.
