It is not known what happened to the records they made during the Great Crusade, except that by the [[41st Millennium]] they had been either entirely destroyed or otherwise concealed.{{Cite This}}

In the [[M41|41st Millennium]], the title of Remembrancer is still used, although how it came to be used again is unknown. These "modern" remembrancers appear to record the history of the [[Imperium]], much like the remembrancers of the [[Great Crusade]].
