Some Explorators are explicitly described as working for the Administratum{{Fn|1}} sometimes as as scribes and [[remembrancer|historians]].{{Fn|12}} It is not clear if they are techpriest's who have decided to work for the Administratum (akin to how some [[tech-adepts]] might choose to become an [[inquisitor]] instead of a techpriest, or a [[commissar]] might work under the [[Ecclesiarchy]] in the [[Schola Progenium]] while still being part of the [[Commissariat]]) or if the Adeptus Administratum has their own separate type of scribe that is also called an Explorator, independent of the Mechanicus.
