The 3rd Company has long been given the duty with confronting the most dangerous monsters the [[Imperium]] has to face. To this end, the company has long emphasized emphasised close-range anti-[[Xenos]] combat techniques , often using [[Aggressor Squad]]s and is often [[Centurion Warsuit]]s, which are sometimes supported by [[1st Company (Ultramarines)|1st Company]] [[Terminator]]s to lead for leading operations against [[Space Hulk]]s. The 3rd also makes prodigious use of [[Aggressor Squad]]s and [[Centurion Warsuit]]s, typically arming both for close-range battle for use against [[xenos]]. Warriors of the 3rd routinely see action in the [[Deathwatch]]. Those that fight against the [[Tyranids]] and survive are almost always given the title of [[Tyrannic War Veteran]].{{Fn|1}}
