Since the death of their [[Primarch]], [[Konrad Curze]], the Night Lords have been shattered as an organized legion. Most have fled to the [[Eye of Terror]] and now operate as disparate warbands.{{Fn|2a}} These warbands are fractious and mercenary to the extreme, mostly contenting themselves with raiding, butchery, and plundering. Many have found their way into the service of other Chaos Lords, [[Daemon Prince]]s, and even [[Xenos]] warlords. For as so long as there is a chance to inflict fear and ambush on others, Night Lords will naturally be drawn to a cause.{{Fn|67}}
This style of living has led many Night Lords to become disillusioned with their identity and lack of vision. Some have even turned in their colors for other armies, as was the case with [[Haarken Worldclaimer|Haarken]] and his [[Gloomtalons]], which eventually joined [[Abaddon]]'s [[Black Legion]].{{Fn|67}} However , there is some recent hope as of the [[13th Black Crusade]] that the Legion may be reunited once more by the prophetic figure known as [[Decimus (Character)|Decimus]].{{Fn|10}}
