Overview
Sometime after tthe Battle of Duriel in 811.999.M41, Iyanden and Biel-Tan led the purges of various worlds in the path of Hive Fleet Leviathan using the planet-destroying device known as the Fireheart. The goal of these campaigns were to starve and damage the alien fleet. Either denying its primary resource of bio-mass or outright destroying invading Tyranids once the bulk of their fleet made planet-fall. While most worlds were uninhabited, many were inhabited by humans, orks, or various peaceful minor alien civilisations.1
This eventually brought the Eldar into conflict with the Imperium on the Agri-world of Verdox II. Caught between the Invaders and Crimson Castellans Space Marines and Tyranid swarms, Autarch Sunspear was able to flawlessly drew the Space Marines into battle with the Tyranids while his own forces made their escape, not even an hour before the planet was consumed in atomic flames. Before he took his leave into the Webway, he warned the Space Marines of Verdox II's imminent destruction, not caring whether the Astartes heeded his warning or not.1
