History
The Tear captured from the dead body of the commander of the aeldari forces during the battle for the Selevia System. The necklace was commissioned by the Imperial commander, Colonel Greeves and presented as a gift to the first Governor of the Selevia System, Sirlene Rask.1 Govenor Rask is said to have gone insane in the twenty years that followed, a period in which she wore the necklace daily before dying in a fire along with her family when her manse burned down. It was suggested by Inquisitor Alyssana Nero that her insanity was the result of the aeldari spirit who resided within: which came from a Psyker of great ability. The Tear of Selevia was placed on display by her successor until it was stolen – later recovered by Nero.1
Nero would later use the Tear of Selevia would be used as a bagaining chip with the Aeldari, gifting it in exchange for information on an artefact of unknown origin known as the Pillar of Dreams which the Aeldari urged her to destroy.1
