The PAGENAME, also known as the Pathless or the Reborn,7 are the members of a newly formed eponymous Aeldari religious group that worship the God Ynnead and believe their race can be saved from the oblivion and from Slaanesh by the rise of the God of the Dead, and fight tirelessly to fully awaken him.1 The Ynnari draw from every element of
Aeldari civilisation, united in their belief that Ynnead
Overview
Led by Ynnead's Emissary Yvraine, the group is composed of Eldar from the Craftworlds, Corsair groups, Exodites, Commorragh and even from among the Harlequins. With their combined might they have become a rising force in the galaxy, who not only seek to bring about Ynnead's birth, but also return the Eldar to the glory their race had before their Empire fell. However, the arrogant coercion they employ to save their race has alienated as many Eldar as it has united under Yvraine's command. Worse still, many see the Ynnari as corrupted by the very daemonic forces they seek to thwart, while others believe they are already dead inside. And because of their growing strength, they have drawn the attention of the Chaos Gods, who have now unleashed their forces to hunt down the group wherever they go. Slaanesh in particular seeks to destroy the Ynnari, in order to end the threat they pose to him.1a
The Ynnari seek to fully empower Ynnead and defeat Slaanesh. However, rather than following the expected myth that would require the death of all Eldar to awaken Ynnead, they aim to achieve this in a ritual that would not require the sacrifice of the Eldar Race in the descending Rhana Dandra, a method known as the Seventh Path. Since the fifth Crone Sword has been moved into the Palace of Slaanesh, the Seventh Path seems hopeless.5c
Ornamentation
The Reborn pledged to Yvraine's banner come from all walks of Aeldari life. They display their adopted allegiance by painting all or portions of their attire with the prominent rich reds, purples, and blacks reminiscent of the ancient aeldari ghost halls and memorial gardens of the ancient Eldar Empire. Some adopt baroque armour pieces that are reminiscent of ancient days. They adorn themselves with the crosspiece-and-crucible Rune of Ynnead, the Sign of the Phoenix, or a combination of their prior allegiance's icon meshed with one used by the Ynnari. Others may wish to keep their adopted allegiance a close secret, for one reason or another. These Reborn are utterly devoted to the cult and see only one path forward for the Aeldari race - the utter dedication to the deathly creed of the Ynnari.19b19cThose who are more recent converts or wish to still pay homage to their former beliefs and ideals, may instead sport a red band of cloth to display one's support of the Ynnari cause. These red bands are typically wrapped around one's upper arm or thigh. This was once an ancient aeldari practice grieving practice, displaying that someone may wish to be left alone in order to mourn the loss of a friend or family member. The Ynnari have since repurposed this ancient cultural practice to show one's dedication to the death cult.19c19a

After the spoiled ritual of the Ulthwé Farseer Eldrad Ulthran and the Harlequins of the Masque of the Midnight Sorrow at the Battle of Port Demesnus, which sought to turn the crystal moon of Coheria into a Psychic Beacon brighter than the Astronomican which could call to all craftworld Infinity Circuits but instead saw Coheria destroyed, first roused Ynnead from his slumber he imparted a fraction of his will into Yvraine as she was killed slipped between life and appointed by death19b at the hand of Corag Hai the priestess of Morai-Heg in the Crucibael of Commoragh19a – an apotheosis which tore open Khaine's Gate and triggered a catastrophic Dysjunction20 and those that followed her to flee Commorragh through Sec Maegra into the Webway beset by Daemonettes, her Bloodbrides, allied Eldar Corsairs, with the Visarch and his Incubi becoming the first of the Ynnari.2a

Debate within Ulthwé
On Ulthwé, the seer council refused to commit their forces to the Ynnari cause – taking the moment of Yvraine's appearance to censure and exile Eldrad Ulthran. While arguing in the Farseers defense and for direct Ynnari intervention in capturing the Crone Swordss in the Crone Worlds rather than abdicating the responsibility to Il-Kaithe, 2b Eldar from Craftworld Altansar unexpectedly appeared from the Webway appeared suddenly to plead urgent action within the Eye of Terror: aware , revealing that Ynnead's nascent consciousness had had a hand in their survival of the millenia within the Eye of Terror.19c Aware they could not themselves return to the Eye of Terror Warlock Guentilian Onyxblade slit their own throat to pledge their soul to Yvraine. Sensing their master within Yvraine, the Gyrinx Alorynis began to follow her, the act earning the Ynnari allies among the remaining Altansari. Unconvinced, the Seer Council turned to hostility against the assembled parties before the appearance of Kysaduras the Anchorite, accompanied by Harlequins of the Midnight Sorrow, the momentousness of his appearance before the council ending hostilities and settling the debate: the Ynnari would act and those among Ulthwé who wished join them would do so.2b
Belial IV
Together venturing into the Eye of Terror, the ynnari landed upon the Crone World of Belial IV where below the silver moon they encountered Urien Rakarth and the Prophets of Flesh, and the acting as mercenary agents of Vect who ordered a hunt for Yvreaine.19b The melee attracted the Daemons of Slaanesh2b – Rakharth equally horrified and exhilarated to learn those Haemonculi felled were reduced to dust simultaneously in every vat-clone, phylactery, and secret remnant.2c In the fray Yvraine noticed a radius of dull grey Spirit Stones devoid of their power and at its center they located the resting place of a buried crone sword, and from within the earth the Yncarne burst forth weilding Vilith-zhar the Sword of Souls.2b The second Crone Sword of Belial IV would have to wait. The force turned towards the ruins of a shattered ancient city, finding and fortifying the museum structure of the Memorial Hall of Atransis and an immense yellow rune-portal hidden to all but the dead and those who bear their blessing where The Soulseeker, Wraithknight of Iyanden ushered them forth into the Webway beyond while Iyanna Arienal and her Wraith Constructs guarded their exit.2c
Iyanden
After long weeks of arduous travel, they found their exit: a hidden portal within Vaidh Wayport on Craftworld Iyanden finding the craftworld under siege by the forces of Nurgle, as many craftworlds across the galaxy faced Daemon threats,19b their Asuryani and Harlequin contingents conscripted into battle and the rest sequestered to guest quarters. Yvraine called upon old debts from her Corsair allieswho reach the Craftworld within days, and in so doing the remaining Ynnari were brought forth to defend the craftworld, : banishing Daemons and the infections they spread. Yvraine asked to be brought to the dead and infectous body of Prince Yriel who had ended the Nurglite assault, whereupon she plunged the Spear of Twilight into the Admiral's chest and he was revived: and the spear revealed as the fourth Crone Sword,2c the final still on Belial IV, and returned to the revived prince his spear. Within the Ghost Halls, Iyanna Arienal worked with Yvraine to work a miracle of the God of the Dead, moving the consciousness of the warriors within the Infinity Circuit of Iyanden directly into the infinity circuits of Wraith Constructs without the Spirit Stone conduit, no longer would they walk in a waking dream, rather they were given life anew with which they pledged to serve the Ynnari and end Slaanesh on behalf of the living.2c
