Sometime later after the campaign in Bastior, [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] [[Acheran]] and [[Chairon]] died in battle on [[Trygg (World)|Trygg]]. Because of Titus' exemplary service to his [[Chapter]], he was chosen to be promoted back into position of Captain of the [[Ultramarines 2nd Company]].{{Fn|19}} As [[Master of the Watch]], he was also tasked with overseeing the defense of [[Macragge]] and [[Ultramar]] by his [[Primarch]], [[Roboute Guilliman]]. Titus has formed the [[Wardens of Ultramar]] to aid him in this task, which count [[Metaurus]] and [[Gadriel]] amongst its members.{{Fn|18}} Titus subsequently returned to Ultramar with [[Chief Librarian]] [[Varro Tigurius]] aboard his flagship, the [[Strike Cruiser]] ''[[Righteous Fury (Strike Cruiser)|Righteous Fury]]''. Tigurius then departed for other warzones, leaving Titus as the broad strategic overseer of the new [[Ultramarian Reclamation]].{{Fn|21a}}
During the campaign, Titus personally led the [[War on Novamagnor]], during which he came into conflict with [[Necron]]s led by [[Nekrosor Ammentar]]. While he was successful in holding some of [[Novamagnor]], Titus was unable to prevent Ammentar from acquiring a shard of the [[Nightbringer]].{{Fn|22b}}
