He was forcibly recruited by the [[Iron Warriors]] 2,000 years before the creation of the [[Great Rift]], but it only took Morne 500 years to become a [[Warsmith]]. This was due to his natural gift for devastating headlong assaults and since then, the Warsmith has achieved a consistent record of victories. As a result, Morne is among the precious few Iron Warriors commanders, who have earned the trust of the [[Traitor Legion]]'s [[Daemon Primarch]] [[Perturabo]]. While the Warsmith does not possess the arrogance and lethargy of the Iron Warriors' [[Long War]] veterans, Morne stands out amongst the Traitor Legion's leadership for being particularly callous and brutal. This extends to his armaments, which include the [[Thunder Hammer]] [[Last Argument]] and the [[Horus Heresy]]-era [[Cataphractii Terminator Armour]] [[Iron Mantle]]. Morne's long years of front assaults, has turned his body and the Iron Mantle into a siege weapon, that is as powerful as any [[Daemon Engine]] or a [[Tank]] in his possession.{{Fn|1}}
