History
He has been well blessed by his worship of the Chaos God Nurgle, which has left Grue with supernatural strength, immunity to pain and being almost impossible to kill.1b. In M42, Grue was among the renowned warriors that the Necron Overlord Trazyn the Infinite kidnapped and placed in an arena within the Overlord's hidden Sanctum, which is connected to the Tomb World Solemnace, via Reality-Tethers. The Plague Champion then found himself facing the Blood Angel Rafelo, the Ultramarine Markus Castus and the Necron Teknoth. They were all brought there to fight for Trazyn's enjoyment, but the Overlord promised the victor would be freed from their imprisonment1a. In his fevered mind, Grue knows he is the mightiest warrior to step foot in the Trazyn's arena and the Plague Champion will gladly prove this in Nurgle's name.1b. However unbeknownst to Grue and the other warriors, the Overlord has no intention of freeing the arena winner. Instead the victor will have the honor honour of taking a place of pride within Trazyn's latest exhibit on Solemnace.1a
