==Overview==
The Pireaus System is located in the southeast of the [[Badab Sector]]. It is the terminus of some of the most important [[warp route]]s from the southern [[Maelstrom Zone]] into the [[sector]]. For this reason, it was of utmost importance for the conquest of the Badab Sector during the [[Badab War]]. In 705.911.M41, the loyalists, led by the [[Red Scorpions]] and [[Executioners]], launched a large-scale invasion[[Invasion of Pireaus]], during which a duel took place between the two commanders-in-chief, [[Carab Culln]] and [[Lufgt Huron]].{{Fn|1}}
In the year 963.[[M41]] the Fire Hawks were sent to the [[Crows World]] [[subsector]] against [[Eldar]] pirates. The entire chapter-fleet, including the chapter's mobile space-fortress ''[[Raptorus Rex]]'', made a successful warp jump from the [[Pireaus System]] 120 light years to Crows World. The five ships, over eight hundred brethren, and two thousand other personnel expected to reach Crows World within no more than 12 hours. They never arrived.{{Fn|2}}
