Unlike most [[Dreadnought Close Combat Weapons]], a blood talon more closely resembles a [[Lightning Claw|lightning claw]] in appearance and operation.{{Fn|2}} This weapon has four powered blades that pincer down on a target or slash through an enemy with ease; and with the strength of a Dreadnought behind it, a blood talon can sweep through half of an enemy squad with a single stroke. They are used exclusively in pairs, and can be relatively easily acquired for use within a chapter that utilizes them.{{Fn|1b}}
Blood Talons can be equipped onto a [[Furioso Dreadnought]] or a [[Death Company Dreadnought]]. While a [[Librarian]] Dreadnought could conceivably be equipped with these, they eschew blood talons in favor favour of a combination of a [[Blood Fist]] and a [[Force Weapon]].{{Fn|1a}}
