A more powerful version of the standard [[charge pack ]] available to [[laser weapon]]s, the '''Hotshot Laser Power Pack''' is more compact and robust, but decidedly more expensive also. Its enhanced power matrix can discharge more energy through any standard laser weapon, making it more powerful, though the drawback is an increased chance of overheating the weapon or draining the pack itself.{{Fn|1}} These hotshot packs also put more stress on the weapon's barrel and are more difficult to charge than normal packs.{{Fn|2}}
Hotshot packs are the power pack of choice for [[Long-Las]] [[sniper rifle]]s, giving the weapon superior lethality at the cost of increased barrel wear. These packs are on average good for only twenty shots.{{Fn|3}} Other types of hot-shot charges may instead be drained after firing just one shot.{{Fn|4}}{{Fn|5}}
