The mantle is thought to have sacred powers of protection, for Helena was said to have anointed it with the [[Emperor's Tears]].{{Fn|2}}, the single phial of which had been meticulously over a century from weeping statues found across the [[Cardinal World]]s of the Imperium.{{fn|3}}
