During the [[Horus Heresy]], Nero Vipus was a loyal Space Marine of the [[Imperium of Man]], brother-sergeant of Locasta Tactical Squad, 3rd squad of the 10th Company of Luna Wolves under the command of [[Captain]] [[Garviel Loken]]. Loken considered Nero an old and true friend.

Nero fought in thousands of battle for the Imperium of Man and was involved in investigating the death of [[Hastur Sejanus]], captain of 4th Company during which he encountered and fought the Invisibles.
